Phrenic Nerve and Respiratory Diaphragm: Evidence Informed Anatomy & Treatment
January 31, 2023  |  7:00 PM - 8:30 PM
1.5 Core Competency Credits

Join Robert Libbey for this NOT to be missed webinar! It’s all the things you never knew you always wanted and needed in your life to practice at your highest self, enhancing your ability to help more people and become known as one of the best in the world for what you do.

“C3, 4, 5 Keeps the Diaphragm alive!” Do you remember learning that in school!?

There is the common saying in medicine that “50% of what we teach you will be wrong, or inaccurate. Sadly, we don’t know which 50%!” Well, as science evolves and time goes on, some of this 50% is corrected and updated providing us the opportunity to improve our lifelong learning and improve our patient education.

This is one of those courses that you will come away from having had a small piece of that 50% updated! Are you sure C3, 4, 5 Keeps the Diaphragm alive? Do you know the route the Phrenic nerve takes from origin to insertion? Do you know how a diaphragm injury presents? Do you know the research documenting how referred pain actually occurs?

This webinar delves into the myth and trend of this continued teaching along with discovering what the real truth is. We’ll also explore published research documenting the effects of manual therapy applications to the respiratory diaphragm, and provide demonstrations of the techniques along with a few alternative suggestions for hand placements depending on the type of patient who presents to your office. Add in a pinch of “pain science” and you’ve got an all-round concise Evidence Informed approach to better manage your patients.
