MTAM Webinar Basics 

1) MTAM webinars use a program called Adobe Connect
2) You can access our webinars from a computer, iphone, ipad or similar device.

3) You need access to good quality internet
4) It is helpful to quit all other applications on your phone or computer
5) You will need to use the sound on your computer/phone
6) Be sure your volume is on but not too high 
7) You may need to adjust volume based on how well your connection is or how good your speakers are
8) If you have never done a webinar before, the Meeting Webinar room will be open all day for you to try arriving in advance. Please do not leave it to a few minutes before.

 


 Troubleshooting


I CANNOT LOGIN
 

Solution:  Click the link you received in your Webinar email and follow the steps provided. If the link does not work you may need to copy and paste the URL but be sure not to duplicate the link when you do this (clear the URL path area)

 

Here are some of the common issues / things to check to help with the login access:

  • Are you connected to the Internet?
  • Did you disable popup blocker software?
  • Did you clear the browser’s cache?
  • Are you using the correct URL?
  • Have you registered for the Webinar?
  • Have you tried entering the meeting as a guest?

 

WEBINAR FREEZES OR CUTS OUT

Cause: This could be a connection (internet) speed issue or it could be that there are too many applications open and competing with the needs of the webinar software.

Solution: Quit out of the program / log out of Webinar and log back in to refresh connection.

Solution: Closing all running apps and clearing your history will help with your Internet speed, which will help with your connection and the sound.

 

SOUND IS CUTTING IN AND OUT
Cause: This could be a connection (internet) speed issue.

Solution: Try to work as close to your Internet source (router) as possible. Make sure you have “full bars” or as close to or use a wired Internet connection.

Closing all running apps and clearing your history will help with your Internet speed, which will help with your connection and the sound.

 

SOUND CUTS OUT ENTIRELY

Cause: This could be a connection (internet) speed issue or the program may just be stuck.

Solution: Close the session and your browser, then reopen both to re-join the Webinar.

 

I HEAR LOUD FEEDBACK

Cause:  Multiple devices are on / your volume is up too loud and it is distorting your sound 

Solution:  Wear headset/headphones/earbuds ensure your mic is turned off.
